SPARTAN Alliance Group LLC represents the inspiration of its president, Steve Diaz, a former Marine, South Florida Law Enforcement Professional, and Deputized Department of Justice Criminal Investigator. For 33 years, Mr. Diaz immersed himself in the investigation of local and international organized criminal syndicates involving grand-theft, major schemes to defraud, drug-trafficking, money-laundering, and Narco-terrorism. Mr. Diaz’s travels took him to South America, Europe, Canada, the Caribbean, and across the U.S., where he conducted covert and complex investigative activities and established local and global contacts in support of investigative efforts.
Mr. Diaz’s professional experience extends to the full-scale criminal investigation and prosecution of two major U.S. financial institutions for AML/BSA violations which resulted in Deferred Prosecution Agreement penalties totaling $42.5 million U.S. dollars, and the investigation of several foreign Money Service Businesses for KYC violations resulting in the seizure of 9 million Euros. Mr. Diaz is also well versed in local crime trends, tactical considerations, and mitigation strategies.
